    A leading agribusiness organization has a strong need for an analyst who excels at working with data and information. This key role will support their Human Resources team and systems.

    The HR Data Analyst will be all things “data” to the HR department and its related functions. This role will do a wide array of things, including day-to-day data entry, understanding and becoming the use expert on HR and related systems, and making recommendations on new platforms and aps to the team and department Director.

    The role is based in Santa Maria, CA and seeks candidates who can commute daily to the office.

    The role seeks a data-centric individual who:

    • Enjoys working with information, data, programs, systems, processes, and related projects
    • Can adapt to an industry where change is frequent; where adoption of new data practices may take time
    • When issues arise, will propose solutions to problems instead of waiting for direction, and will work with management and team on resolutions
    • Constant and consistent learner. Be the go-to expert on current and upcoming HR related apps, and systems, and programs

    NOTE: This is NOT an IT position. This role will work with databases and systems as an expert user, not as someone who maintains, codes, or works on the databases themselves.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Perform daily data related functions, including data entry for new hires, data correction, and related work to maintain information and data integrity within the company’s HR systems and programs.

    • Update and maintain users lists and enrollments
    • Manage the HR ticket queue input
    • Manage training enrollment, and maintain distribution lists

    Become the Human Resources systems operational expert.

    • Understand how current systems work, are operated and utilized
    • Optimize fields and functions in the system to improve efficiencies and generate information
    • Assist with user management including troubleshooting and support

    Handle Human Resources related reporting.

    • Set up and create reports in system, run reports
    • Know the data, understand its uses, applications, and benefits to the company
    • Provide analysis and research

    Become the Human Resources systems and tools knowledge expert.

    • Keep up to date on programs, tools, and systems, such as HRIS, HCM, ATS, ad-ons, among others
    • Review and suggest programs and tools to management
    • Conduct trials of new tools, provide use case

    Take on HR systems related projects; perform additional data and research related tasks and functions

    Additional Responsibilities Include:

    Provide as needed general support for Human Resources department:

    • Assist recruiting efforts, such as social media posts, placing ads, and conducting Background and Reference Checks
    • New hire on-boarding
    • Schedule and support HR Events
    • Support HR projects including annual benefits enrollment, performance management, auditing, trainings, etc.
    • Coordinate logistics for training events with the departments
    • Write and send employee communications for company events, wellness challenges, and employee perks and benefits, etc.
    • Other administrative support

    Requirements Include:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3 – 6 plus years of experience in data entry and analysis, research, or related analytical work
    • Experience in Human Resources preferred but not required. Experience in similar departments or in similar areas of function sought
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communication with all levels within the organization
    • Strong ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multi- project, multi-demand environment
    • Strong organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
    • Strong in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and human resources information systems (HRIS) is required
    • Familiar with video chat and similar technology a plus

    The base hourly the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is $33.00-$38.00 per hour. The actual rate for this role may be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The base hourly rate range does not include other compensation elements, which may compose the total compensation package, or other benefits available to the position.
