    Job Description

    This role is designed to further the development of the individual's HR education, knowledge, and experience by leading and supporting a diverse range of HR processes and procedures, while assisting the Plant People & Culture Manager and plant operations team.

    The individual in the Human Resources Development Program should:

    • Have a high level of emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal skills
    • Be very detail-oriented and comfortable working with a lot of data
    • Have a strong desire to work in a manufacturing environment and grow and develop within the People & Culture function
    • Strong drive for personal growth and learning new skills
    • Be familiar with creating a culture of safety, wellbeing, accountability and trust

    Activities and Experiences:

    • Deep dives with focus groups to solve issues
    • Departmental job shadow and rotations
    • Grievance process/meetings
    • Labor Management meetings
    • Annual compensation cycle
    • Talent and succession planning
    • Training & Development
    • Employee & Manager Self-Service
    • Employee Investigations
    • Performance Management

    Taught and then owns or coordinates:

    • Open enrollment
    • Quarterly plant wide meetings
    • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition on job postings and other recruiting activity for the plant
    • New hire orientation and onboarding
    • Administration of Supervisor test
    • Coordination of Apprenticeship testing
    • Lead engagement activities within the plant
    • Oversee Attendance Policy management
    • Back-up to Payroll
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, or other related field
    • 1-3 years experience in an HR function (e.g. generalist, leave management, talent acquisition, employee relations)
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
    • Ability to manage and rank competing priorities to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed
    • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities

    What we offer at O-I: ****

    Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
