    Responsibilities

    As the Human Resources Generalist, working onsite in either the Newport Beach or Glendale location you will:

    Once trained, accurately process biweekly payroll and address related questions

    Responsible for employee changes such as deductions, direct deposit, and personal information

    Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation: benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and company culture, occupational health and safety, and training and development

    Manage the onboarding and offboarding process, which includes distributing required paperwork and managing employee setup and termination across various systems

    Conduct background checks and reference checks

    Track and document compliance with required and optional training, including safety, anti-harassment, and certifications

    Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors

    Research, identify and recommend solutions to complex and/or sensitive matters with the assistance of legal counsel and outsourced HR

    Coach leaders and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

    Remain abreast of changing federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending and implementing best practices; to ensure organizational compliance

    Seek out and share knowledge of trends, and new technologies in human resources and employment law which may be of value to the organization

    Travel between the Newport Beach and Glendale locations, as well as other locations as needed

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and/or current HRCI or SHRM certification

    3 or more years of human resources experience required

    Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

    Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and payroll systems

    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Payroll experience preferred yet not required; training will be provided

    Safety experience (Cal-OSHA, OSHA, NIOSH) preferred

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Clean driving records and must be willing to travel to all locations as needed
