POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in managing the day-to-day HR operations and supporting the strategic goals of a growing Insurtech company specializing in employee benefits. This role encompasses recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, corporate training, compliance, and compensation analysis. The HR Generalist will collaborate with leadership to design and implement competitive pay structures and benefits programs while fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
** Recruitment & Onboarding:**
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, ensuring roles are filled with top talent who align with company culture and values.
- Develop job descriptions for technical and non-technical roles in collaboration with department managers.
- Lead onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are seamlessly integrated into the organization and understand the company's mission, tools, and processes..
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Conduct regular compensation benchmarking to ensure pay scales remain competitive within the insurtech and employee benefits industries.
- Analyze salary surveys, market data, and internal pay practices to recommend adjustments in pay structures.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and any proprietary offerings developed by the company.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing workplace concerns and maintaining a positive and productive environment.
- Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and reviews.
- Develop and implement engagement initiatives that align with the company's focus on innovation and employee well-being.
HR Policies & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly in areas such as remote work policies, data privacy, and wage transparency.
- Regularly review and update company policies to reflect best practices in the insurtech and employee benefits sectors.
- Maintain and safeguard employee records in compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Corporate Learning & Development:
- Identify skills gaps and recommend professional development programs tailored to the needs of a tech-driven workforce.
- Support leadership in fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Develop and manage pay structures and incentive programs that attract and retain top talent in competitive markets.
- Provide reports on compensation trends, pay equity, and workforce metrics to inform decision-making.
- Partner with finance and leadership teams to align compensation strategies with company goals and budget

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a tech-driven, growth-oriented company.
- Experience with compensation analysis, pay benchmarking, and benefits administration.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data for compensation decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships across teams.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation analysis tools (e.g., PayScale, Salary.com).
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, ADA, and pay equity standards.
Certifications & Licenses (Preferred):
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus.
- Licensed Life, Health Agent (any State).
