    Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Human Resources Generalist for a fast growing security company in Rochester, NY.

     

    Position Purpose:

    The HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for helping the company execute its strategic plans by advising Company leadership and aligning human resource strategy with the company’s business objectives. This role works directly with company leadership to facilitate recruiting, retention, training, performance management, compensation, benefits design and administration employee growth and relations. The company sees this role as a business function that will enable future success by playing a key role in fostering the company culture that promotes growth, inclusiveness, values training, expertise and service to our clients and teammates.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates the organization’s human resource’s function and performance on a regular basis.
    • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates the organization’s training programs.
    • Develops and implements a strategy to attract talent to the organization.
    • Drives a fun and positive company culture through organizing team building and other company events (e.g. holiday parties, baseball games, cookouts).
    • Maintains work anniversary and birthday calendars and communications to the company.
    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Supports, evaluates, administers, and improves:
    • Onboarding processes.
    • Training, including required/mandatory training, product training, industry training and training opportunities that lead to advancement and/or leadership
    • Coaching
    • Employee recognition programs
    • Compensation management and salary administration
    • Benefit offerings
    • HR systems and records retention.
    • Employee engagement metrics and programs
    • Event planning and execution
    • Facilitates background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

    Technological:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
    • Experience with social media platforms, including LinkedIn, to attract prospective employees.

     

    Education/Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
    • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience.

     

  • Compensation
    $50,000-$60,000 per year
