We are currently accepting applications for a Temporary Human Resources Generalist (3-4 Month Contract), working under minimal supervision, the HR Generalist will participate in the implementation of daily functions of the HR dept as outlined below in responsibilities and duties.

Salary: $20-$30 Hourly
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Has control and authority to completes all functions for new hire orientation, employee communication, and employee recognition programs.
- In collaboration with the HR recruiter directs recruiting, interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions.
- Maintains employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Completes functions to audits employee personnel and medical files.
- In collaboration with HR director addresses employee relations, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Leads HR portion of new employee orientations.
- Conducts exit interviews and ensures that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- In collaboration with HR Director, attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Leads process improvement by being involved in HR department initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned, provides back up for the front desk.
- Demonstrates understanding of and ability to implement the Sanctuary Model and its trauma-informed approach to services for residents and their families, the seven commitments, and the tools of the model including Red Flag meetings, Treatment Team Meetings, the SELF paradigm, safety plans and community meetings. Attends community meetings monthly.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Some college or Bachelors’ Degree or above, preferred.
- Four or more years Human Resources experience.
- Experience in Recruiting, Hiring and employee relations.
- Microsoft 365 experience preferred.
- Computer literacy and adaptability required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and judgment skills a must.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide Human Resources assistance to multiple employee types.
- Human Resources Certification, preferred.
