Position Purpose:
The Human Resources Generalist will be primarily responsible for the following HR functions: Recruitment, HRIS data management, and Employment Records. This position will support the multi-faceted components of the Human Resources Department such as Employee Relations, Benefit Administration and Compliance.
Primary Duties:
- Develop and execute recruiting plans, network, perform job analysis to develop and/or update job descriptions, and develop and maintain data and reports.
- Reviews all job descriptions for EEOC and ADA compliance
- Responsible for integrity of data in HRIS system
- Maintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups.
- Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by government agencies
- Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action
- Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
- Maintains and processes all unemployment claims in a timely, efficient manner. Attends meetings when necessary
- Acts as an employee relations expert
- Ensures employee files are maintained; responsible for integrity of data in HRIS system
- Assists with development, implementation and administration of Affirmative Action program
- Assists with compliance programs to include I-9 audits, Affirmative Action Plan, labor law postings, document retention and DOL/OFCCP programs and requirements. Audit support as required.
- Ensures compliance with CBA requirements by interpreting union contracts and resolving grievances
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations related to human resources.
- Verifies credentials and coordinates other required screenings
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Required Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Masters' degree in human resources or related field
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or HRCI equivalent
- Eight to 10 years of human resource experience
