We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within our organization. As the HR Manager, you will work to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with our business strategy to be an employer of choice in hospitality. You will also lead and mentor a team of direct reports within the People Services department. This is a critical role that will support the organization to achieve its objectives and seek to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
What you will do:
- Formulate and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Foster a culture of psychological safety and engagement within the team and the organization.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure a diverse and talented workforce.
- Enhance organization performance by developing, engaging, motivating, and retaining human capital.
- Foster strong management-employee relations by addressing demands and other issues promptly and effectively.
- Administer and manage a performance appraisal system to drive high employee performance.
- Identify and address training needs to develop and implement effective training programs.
- Provide management with decision support through the use of HR metrics and data.
- Ensure all HR practices comply with legal requirements and regulations.
- Collaborate regularly with the Operations Director and department managers to assist on employee matters.
- Oversee the effective utilization of a human resource information system (HRIS) and learning management system (LMS) while maintaining data integrity.
A successful candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive role, with 5-7 years of relevant experience preferably in the hospitality field.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, MS Teams, and HRIS.
- People-oriented and results-driven mindset with demonstrable experience in human resources metrics.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and multiple state labor laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Competence in building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP or other related certification.
- Experience in ADP Workforce Now.
