    About the role As the Human Resources Manager at Savory, you will oversee and execute all HR functions within our organization, working closely with management, senior leadership, and employees to create a positive and inclusive work environment. Your main areas of responsibility include compliance with employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. This position has the opportunity to interact with all departments and roles within the company, contributing directly to the overall success of our team. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive, with an entrepreneurial spirit. A love of food, beverage, and excellent hospitality is a must!

    Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our HR Manager:

    Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations

    Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions alongside management

    Coordinate and conduct employee onboarding and orientation sessions

    Administer employee benefits programs and handle employee inquiries regarding benefits and compensation

    Address employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner, escalating as necessary

    Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases

    Stay current on HR trends and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement

    Collaborate with management to develop and implement employee training and development programs

    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment

    Other duties as assigned to support our growing team and business

    Your experience should show us the following:

    Bachelor's degree required; SHRM/HRCI certification or advanced degree in HR preferred

    6 years of progressive HR experience in multiple functions, with at least 2 years in a management role

    Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is greatly preferred

    Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with a particular focus on NY Wage and Hour laws

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

    Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills

    Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Strong leadership and decision-making skills

    Conversational proficiency in Spanish is a plus!

    Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000
