Position Summary: As an outsourced Human Resources Business Partner at Topaz HR Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in aligning HR-DOL laws with company policies, drafting essential HR documents, and offering strategic advice to clients. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the hiring and onboarding processes, creating comprehensive onboarding plans, and providing valuable insights on compliance and practical aspects of the employee journey. This role is ideal for an experienced HRBP or HR Director level candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments to align HR laws with current company policies, procedures, and training.
- Provide expertise and guidance on HR policies, labor laws, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.
- Advise and support clients on best practices in hiring, compensation management, company culture, performance, terminations, benefits administration, disciplinary action, and leave management (FMLA, PFL, sick leave).
- Oversee and guide the hiring and onboarding process for client employees.
- Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals and challenges, providing strategic HR guidance and insights.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring effective talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development.
- Collaborate with client teams to design and deliver comprehensive HR programs and initiatives, fostering employee engagement and enhancing the employee experience.
- Work closely with clients' leadership team members to improve overall work relationships, build morale, and increase employee commitment, engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Conduct workforce planning and talent management activities, identify skill gaps, and develop succession plans to support organizational growth.
- Act as a change agent, driving organizational change, and effectively managing change initiatives to optimize employee productivity and acceptance.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to generate insights, providing data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and participate in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and mediation, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with client teams to support employee training and development initiatives, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.
- Draft a variety of HR documents to meet client needs, including job descriptions and offer letters.

Requirements:
- Previous HR experience as an HRBP, or HR Director (minimum 5+ years).
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
Location: Brooklyn/West Orange, NJ
Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year (DOE)
Travel: 50% (NY metro area)
