Job Summary
Responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization by developing local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic recruiting plans.
· Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
· Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
· Research and recommend cost-effective job recruitment initiatives and stay current with current job advertisement marketing trends.
· Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
· Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
· Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
· Post openings with professional organizations and in other position-appropriate venues.
· Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
· Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
· Assist Director of Human Resources in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
· Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
· Conduct prescreening interviews.
· Assist in performing references for potential candidates.
· Assist in interviewing and selecting employees’ onsite.
· Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.
· Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
· Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
· Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.
· Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
· Perform other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, or any applicable trade.
· Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
· Excellent computer skills.
· Effective verbal/written communication skills.
· General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
· Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
· 5+ years of human resources recruiting experience.
Working Environment
· Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
Physical Requirements
· Interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
· Must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone.
