Job Summary:
The server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction by taking and delivering food and beverage orders. Additionally, the server will assist with maintaining a clean and organized dining area, handling payments, and ensuring overall operational efficiency in the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations to customers regarding food and beverage options.
3. Take accurate food and drink orders from guests.
4. Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals.
5. Serve food and drinks to customers promptly and accurately, ensuring exceptional presentation and quality.
6. Assist customers with any special requests or dietary restrictions.
7. Monitor guests' experience and promptly address any issues or concerns to ensure maximum satisfaction.
8. Upsell additional food and beverage items to increase sales.
9. Prepare and deliver beverages promptly.
10. Maintain knowledge of current menu items, specials, and promotions.
11. Handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
12. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, ensuring tables are set properly and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., napkins, utensils, condiments).
13. Clear and reset tables efficiently after guests leave.
14. Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and overall productivity.
15. Collaborate with host/hostess to manage customer seating and optimize table turnover.
16. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
17. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
18. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required.
19. Handle customer complaints or issues, escalating to management as necessary.
20. Uphold a positive and approachable attitude while ensuring a high level of professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a server or similar customer service role in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
2. Ability to provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment for all guests.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
6. Basic math skills to handle payments.
