The Hydraulic Bench Mechanic repairs, tests and troubleshoots hydraulic equipment, machines and components. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reports to the Production Manager.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must possess a valid driver’s license
1-3 years of experience repairing/troubleshooting hydraulic/industrial machinery
Specialty training/certification in hydraulic equipment repair in addition to field experience is preferred
The worker must have a complete set of tools and the mechanical skills to use them properly and safely
General knowledge of pipe fittings, hose fittings, and their application and use
Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline driven environment
Strong communication skills. Must be capable of using written and verbal communications to effectively convey plans and specific details to internal and external customers
Responsibilities:
All activities associated with the tear down and repair of hydraulic equipment, machines and components
Assemble and test new assemblies and/or repaired products
Welding as required
Pick up and deliver machines/products from customers and/or suppliers
Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors and sub-contractors, in an occasionally stressful environment.
Work overtime as required to complete projects/assignments
Assist on field projects as needed which may require travel
Complete all training classes as assigned
Perform other essential and related duties as assigned
