JOB TITLE: HR Business Partner
REPORTS TO: Location VP and global HR VP (matrix)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Business-Partner for location – builds strong relationships with leadership and employees at all levels to achieve successful business outcomes
- Manages various Human Resource plans and procedures and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Directs hiring activities including development of job postings and job descriptions, resume review, coordination of hiring process to include participating in interviews and other related activities
- Active in annual budget planning process
- Facilitates Annual Performance reviews and Compensation programs
- Facilitates Talent Review and Development Plan programs
- Development of the apprenticeship program incl. coordination with external parties
- Drives HR special projects (like recruiting, personnel development, engagement…)
- Processes bi-weekly payroll (on an alternate basis) – Imports hours from time and attendance system, processes deductions, verifies payroll totals and processes garnishments and support orders.
- Involved in employee benefits design. Works with brokers and carriers to obtain employee benefits, including health and dental insurance, and 401(k)
- Employee relations - Coaching, counseling, investigations, and conflict resolution at all levels
- Maintains Human Resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
- Working together with International HR-Team (foreign locations include Germany, China, Mexico)
- Expat management - coordination of German employee transfers by working with local management, managing all aspects of the recruiting, hiring, visa, onboarding and repatriation processes
- Manages small team
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree in Business/Related Field or equivalent job experience
- 5 years minimum in previous HR Generalist position - exposure to manufacturing environment
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR desirable
- Profound knowledge in recruiting and personnel development
- General payroll knowledge, Profound knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Computer proficiency in MS-Office and HRIS software (ADP desirable)
- Position may require occasional availability to work extended hours due to shift structure
