JOB DESCRIPTION

IRN, Inc., a progressive consulting firm, seeks a Research Associate & Account Manager to produce thorough, high-quality research on legislative issues, elected officials, and candidates on a strict deadline schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly to the ever-changing strategies that come with working in a vigorous political climate. This is a seasonal position that will start at the beginning of February 2022 and terminate at the end of December 2022.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drafting narrative briefs and memos for fact-checking, legislative policy, or strategic purposes
• Database coordination with research team and data management
• Monitoring press and social media
• Fact checking incoming information and quality control of high-impact messaging and media
• Work in team environment coordinating and strategizing with the research team, as well as third-party media and polling consultants to ensure success of client goals and objectives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two to three years of legislative or political experience with broad knowledge of Colorado politics
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Lexis-Nexis, other commonly used research databases, MS Office, and various social media platforms
• Strong writing skills, especially editing, proofreading and fact-checking
• Strong communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to represent the organization to clients as the point-person on accounts
• Must work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Must understand and respect requirements of confidentiality, as well as be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
• Must live within commuting distance of Downtown Denver

COMPENSATION

The Research Associate & Account Manager position is a full-time, salaried exempt position. The salary will range from $4,166 to 4,500 per month, paid on a semi-monthly payroll with the availability of direct deposit. This is a seasonal position that will start at the beginning of February 2022 and terminate at the end of December 2022.
