Overview:**
The Controller plays a key role in the financial oversite and success of the practice. The Controller actively identifies ways to improve systems and process, implement cost saving efficiencies and is tasked with practical related financial tasks of moderate to high complexity. This position is located in our Central Business Office in Gilbert.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining of internal controls.
- Adhering and implementing the financial procedures and policies, set by the executive leadership.
- Assist with development and maintenance of applications of data entry systems and procedures.
- Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of financial statement with fluctuation narratives.
- Manage the areas of general ledger, accounts receivable, revenue collection, and payroll.
- Prepare and systematically maintains all supplier accounts.
- Completes and presents analysis of payer contracting and vendor/supplier proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with business partners.
- Under CFO's direction works with Insurance broker for necessary Insurance policy coverages.
- File 401K tax return.
- Approve of orders outside of primary office and medical supplier.
- Meet with Pharma representatives regarding GPO terms-reports findings to CFO.
- Manages auditing teams assigned to Revenue Cycle, IOD, & Research.
- Maintain benchmark reports. Inform executive leadership of metrics and performance.
- Drug distributor proposal analysis and presentation.
- Receive and evaluate generic drug orders.
- Financial oversite of IOD including managing aging reports and weekly IOD profit report.
- Point of contact for IOD communication.
- Preparation of Payroll.
- Maintain office lease files.
- Updating credit card accounts/credit limit as needed.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Degree in Accounting.
- 7-10 years of relevant finance experience in healthcare.
- Excellent working knowledge in Quickbooks.
- Advance knowledge in Excel.
- Ability to analyze and communicate trends, financial data in a written and spoken format.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education and/or Experience:
- 5 years payer contracting and negotiations.
- 5 years supplier contracting and negotiations.
- 5 years supervisor experience.
- Auditing experience preferred.
- Outpatient medical billing knowledge preferred.
