IT Admin/Security Specialist
Remote position with occasional on-site work in Madison, WI
We’re seeking an IT/Security Administrator to help scale and enhance our asset management, access management, and cybersecurity practices. This role is ideal for someone with a broad IT Operations and Security background who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys implementing operational procedures, and leverages technology and automation to drive results.

What the job looks like:
You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining an IT and Security ecosystem focused on automation, security, and operational excellence. You will take an employee first attitude, while balancing out the need for standardization and policy enforcement. You will interface and facilitate the delivery of IT infrastructure managed services as needed. You will enjoy helping determine direction, while remaining day to day engaged helping serve Flexion employees and using software tools to manage the Flexion Security infrastructure.
The work is primarily remote, with occasional visits to our Madison, WI office for hands-on asset management tasks.
Specific job accountabilities include:
Design, implement, and maintain IT asset management and access management solutions.
Support initiatives to enhance cybersecurity practices, including endpoint monitoring, attack prevention, and incident response orchestration.
Provide technical support for Flexion employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Manage and support SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
Ensure compliance with security policies and participate in industry audits and certification initiatives.
Collaborate with managed service providers to deliver IT infrastructure solutions.
Maintain and manage inventory of hardware assets, including laptops and peripherals.
Assist with training and onboarding Flexion employees on IT and security protocols.
Flexion is growing and maturing its Information Technology practices. And we want someone who can understand security policies and controls and lead the way in the implementation of technology solutions and automation.
You have:
5+ years of experience working in an IT Operations/Security Operations role
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience with implementing Information/Cyber Security processes and procedures.
Hands-on experience implementing and supporting cyber/information security endpoint monitoring and control, attack prevention and detection and response orchestration solutions
Experience evaluating, selecting and implementing IT infrastructure management solutions.
Experience in scripting and automating processes.
Self-driven. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote work setting and remain engaged.
Experience with agile engineering practices, scrum and kanban.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to listen, interact, and communicate conclusions in an efficient and impactful manner.
Able to properly perform multiple duties at once.
Works effectively with others to accomplish objectives and goals. Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment

The salary range for this position is $95,000-$115,000 annually.
