We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and Office 365 as well as familiarity with managing hardware (workstations, phones, tablets) and providing end-user support. This position will be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations, maintaining systems, troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with team members to enhance technology practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Email & Account Management
o Manage email accounts, passwords, contacts and spam filtering services for new, current, and departing users
Hardware Support & Maintenance
o Assist in the setup, troubleshooting, and repair of workstations, laptops, iPads and cell phones
o Provide assessment for replacement parts (e.g., hard drives, RAM) and troubleshoot hardware issues
o Assist with the setup of printers, plotters and other peripherals
End-User Support
o Address IT support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved promptly or elevated to the appropriate level
o Monitor and follow up on outstanding work tickets
o Serve as the in-house point of contact for IT-related questions and troubleshooting
Network & Server Management
o Monitor server space, manage housekeeping items, and maintain network and system health
o Assist with network-related tasks, including server maintenance, patching, and system upgrades
o Provide support for DUO multi-factor authentication and Ubiquiti WiFi infrastructures
o Support network switching concepts, including the use of VLANs to differentiate corporate, guest and VoIP virtual network segments on the same physical network
System & Software Management
o Knowledge of Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 to ensure seamless integration with the Active Directory network
o Keep up with system and software updates, including critical database related applications
IT Security & Best Practices
o Assist in implementing IT security policies and practices to ensure data integrity and security compliance as well as fundamental IT ethics
Collaboration & Other Duties
o Coordinate with multiple departments for specific IT-related needs
o Assist with video/virtual conference setup for company meetings and business events
o Maintain the company website, social media platforms, and VOIP systems as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience
o Experience with Windows Server 2019 or higher administration
o Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server 2019
o Experience managing Windows 10/11 workstations and deploying devices within a networked environment
o Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and integration with Active Directory
o Familiarity with basic networking principles (TCP/IP Routing)
o Experience supporting iPhone and Android devices in a Microsoft environment
Skills
o Familiarity with DUO multi-factor authentication and Ubiquiti WiFi infrastructures
o Knowledge of VLANs for differentiating corporate, guest, and VoIP network segments
o Knowledge of RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) products
o Knowledge of server backup using ArcServe ShadowProtect, ImageManager, Veeam software
o Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues efficiently
o Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users
o Basic understanding of IT security protocols and best practices
Preferred
o Knowledge of or experience with VOIP systems and video conferencing tools
o Experience with Office 365 administration, including Teams and SharePoint
