Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Applications who will report directly to the CIO. This position will have deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Jitterbit, and project management workflow applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong developer/software engineering background and be proficient in programming languages, database management systems, and software development methodologies. As a developer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to business and commercial applications and ensuring that they meet technical requirements.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data integration techniques, data modeling, and data migration processes. You will work with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana to manage project workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively work with stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure that business processes are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
Primary responsibilities of this role include partnering with the business to define the technology roadmap for business applications, leading the transformation of the company’s business processes, defining projects and programs that support the strategic direction, and overseeing the delivery of solutions that enable the organization to meet its business objectives.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that appropriate backup, disaster recovery, and security programs are in place, aligned with organizational standards, implementing application and infrastructure change management processes to govern system changes, and developing excellent working relationships with business partners across the organization.
Additional responsibilities
The Head of Business Applications will act as the point of contact for business applications and processes, liaising with key business functions and the IT team, analyzing core business processes and working proactively with partner organizations to streamline and enhance processes and technologies, working with service providers to coordinate daily support, administration, and maintenance for the application ecosystem, and identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with key vendors to support the business application environment.
Other responsibilities include providing project management, internal customer support, and liaising stakeholder relationships. This position will optimize IT business applications administrative support priorities, overseeing change management processes for new applications and upgrades, and working with various modules of the business application ecosystem.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree in a related field: Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science, superior problem-solving and analytic skills, and the ability to work effectively across IT, business, and vendor service organizations.
Experience with most of the software found in the company’s business application ecosystem (Salesforce, Force.com, CRM, ERP, content management systems, etc.), business application infrastructure and data management, and working with and managing outsourced service providers for daily support and large projects/programs is also required.
This position will also exhibit a demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy, function successfully in both team and independent work environments, and establish a set of standards and processes for managing, updating, and adding to the business application environment that establishes consistency across the company, reduces risk, and promotes efficiencies in support of the organization's goals and objectives. Experience with data management and integration technologies, such as Jitterbit, and application development using HTML, PHP, and Force.com is also required.
Shows high potential for promotion to a C-suite leadership role over time.

Preference will be given to applicants in Las Vegas, Asheville, or Los Angeles. Will consider applicants from other states as well.
