  • Responsibilities

    Must have MBI (within 1 year) or Secret   -->  Provide architecture direction and support for the modernization of a customer-facing GOV System, including collaboration with entire set of stakeholders to provide direction for moving existing system to containers, the Cloud and other target environments. Drive development of architecture artifacts and maintain documentation in accordance with GOV document templates. Make recommendations for increasing DevSecOps maturity.

     

    • Develop and extend the architecture to support move to cloud. This includes developing architecture artifacts and presenting them to the government stakeholders – estimated 35%
    • Provide recommendations/architectural options and solutions for migrating to microservices, containers and the Cloud – estimated 35%
    • Maintain and/or create contractual deliverables in accordance with IRS templates – estimated 10%
    • Identify opportunities for new business  – estimated 10%
    • Provide LoE estimates for Impact Assessments and VROMs – estimated 5%
    • Provide recommendations for implementing DevSecOps practices – estimated 5%

    • Experience in developing, in collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, partners, project teams, and vendors, architectures for large, complex programs - 10+ years
    • Strong customer communication skills, both oral and written – 10+ years
    • Experience in leading teams of architects and/or developers – 5+ years
    • Experience modernizing complex enterprise applications, including Java applications, for the Cloud – 4+ years
    • Experience modernizing complex enterprise applications, leveraging microservices running in containers - 4+ years
    • Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift – 4+ years
    • Experience with building complex AWS GovCloud solutions – 4+ years
    • Experience developing solutions leveraging Event Driven Architecture patterns – 4+ years
    • Experience with information security for large, highly sensitive Java applications – 4+ years
    • Experience maintaining requirements and traceability against business and application requirements for large, complex applications – 4+ years
    • Experience with the Linux platform – 4+ years
    • Experience with CM tools, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM – 4+ years
    • Experience with middleware products, including JBoss EAP, WebSphere Application Server, AMQ, Kafka and IBM MQ - 3+ years
    • Experience in developing DevSecOps solutions on complex projects – 2+ years

      Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies
    • Experience with database modeling tools, especially Erwin Data Modeler
    • Experience with developing monitoring solutions
    • Experience with CMMI Level 3 Process Areas
    • Experience with Azure cloud for government and Google cloud for government
    • Experience with Agile methodologies
    • Experience with IaC tools such as Puppet/Chef/Ansible
    • Experience with AppDynamics
    • Active AWS Solution Architect Certification
  • Compensation
    $175,000 per year
