    Job Description

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    The role of the IT Asset and Inventory Specialist is to assist customers who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Inventory of all hardware and software, tracking licenses, and maintenance of these records
    • Responsible for software license reconciliation and true-up processes
    • Follows asset management procedures and utilizes helpdesk trouble-ticketing system
    • Monitor and maintain accurate hardware and software inventory and data collection with company’s required programs
    • Conducts periodic inventory audits to ensure company’s guidelines are followed
    • Perform daily inventory counts for IT Inventory
    • Coordinates with Helpdesk Technicians to provision equipment to users
    • Assists Management to document and modify asset and inventory processes
    • Coordinates with Acquisitions team to compile inventory reports for new partnerships and verifying compliance
    • Stage and process equipment for disposal
    • Effectively, professionally, and respectfully represents other Information Technology staff members, teams, and their services to the client community
    • Follows purchasing processes and orders equipment as needed
    • Follows policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned by Manager of IT Support

    EXPERIENCE:

    Experience in hardware inventory, software inventory, and basic operating system functionality or equivalent training and/or education is extremely beneficial. Customer service experience is preferred.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

    This position requires handling confidential information in an appropriate manner. Customer interactions must be handled with diplomacy and tact. Individual must be able to gauge the customer's technical ability and communicate with them in appropriate technical or non-technical language in a non-condescending manner.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience in Hardware and Software Inventory a must.
    • At least one year IT experience a plus.
    • Must be able to learn new and quickly-changing technologies.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Good work habits under pressure.
    • Familiarity with a wide range of standard office automation products.
    • High energy level.
    • High attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Must have a good command of the English language in order to provide effective phone, desk-side, and email support.

    • Lifting and/or carrying of 50 lbs. or more and the pushing and pulling of carts when necessary.
