We are looking for a ServiceNow IT Asset Management (HAM / SAM) Analyst to support client operations at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) location below:

Work Location: 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD 20707 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (three days in‐office and two days telework)

Work Description:

WSSC currently utilizes ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Pro and Software Asset Management Pro to manage all hardware and software assets. WSSC has in production a service catalog for asset requests and workflows for asset sourcing and deployment. The consultants will work with the IT Asset Manager to maintain the HAM Pro/SAM Pro modules, including enhancements, testing, and upgrades. They will also develop internal operating procedures, create asset records for all new purchases, reconcile asset licenses, and prepare reports. The main function of the group is to maximize the value of WSSC asset investments while managing cost, risk and compliance through the asset lifecycle.

Education: | Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field and four (4) years of relevant experience. 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree. | b. General Experience: | Experience analyzing IT asset data for cost, risk, and compliance. Experience managing IT assets through their lifecycle. Understanding of software licensing and how hardware configurations impact licensing. Understanding of different software publisher licensing metrics. Experience with ServiceNow Asset Module (HAM/SAM). Experience maintaining an IT Hardware or Software asset repository. Experience producing reports and presentations. | c. Specialized Experience | At least 2 (two) years of experience administering and developing the hardware and software asset modules in ServiceNow. Advanced Excel functionality and data manipulation experience. Extensive knowledge of asset discovery tools such as SCCM and ServiceNow to extract and analyze asset information. Certified in ServiceNow Administration and Development (Preferred) Experience creating software entitlement records in SAM Pro | d. Skillset | ServiceNow development and administration of HAM/SAM modules. ServiceNow Scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) ServiceNow Discovery ServiceNow Workflows, Integration Hub/Graph Connectors Software development lifecycle
