The IT Business Analyst (on site - Miami) serves as a pivotal role within the organization, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully by aligning business needs with technical solutions. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, contribute to process improvements, and drive innovation through effective requirements management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs, objectives, and desired outcomes by conducting and brainstorming sessions to extract requirements effectively.
- Evaluate gathered requirements for feasibility, relevance, and impact on the project and work closely with technical teams to ensure the proposed solutions align with business needs.
- Create clear and concise business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), use cases, and user stories.
- Develop process flow diagrams, wireframes, and mock-ups to illustrate requirements visually.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and methodologies related to requirements gathering and documentation to support continuous improvement.
- Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive ROI analysis and presentations, outlining the financial benefits, risks, and recommendations for decision-makers.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance documentation templates, and improve the overall efficiency of the BA function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in creating formal documentation with appropriate requirements.
- Experience analyzing business requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
- Experience in technical writing of software documentation is preferred.
- Knowledge of coding and scripting languages, such as C++, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is preferred.
- Knowledge of business processes, home building industry, and applications.
- Ability to think analytically and conduct customer-facing communications.
- Ability to focus on business priorities and imperatives.
- Robust skills in documentation creation with a high attention to detail including planning and organization.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering.
