IT Deskside Customer Engineer/PC Refresh - Greer, SC
**This is a full-time contractor role payable at $25 per hour**
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Deskside Support Technician to join our onsite IT support team at a client location. This position plays a key role in providing hands-on technical support, assisting with PC rollover and refresh projects, provisioning Android scanners, and handling network port patching.
This is an overnight shift position (Thursday through Sunday) in a collaborative team environment, supporting both day-to-day technical needs and project-driven hardware and network updates.
Key Responsibilities
Provide deskside support for end users, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
Execute PC rollover and refresh activities, including setup, configuration, and deployment.
Provision Android scanning devices as part of the support process.
Perform network port patching and related tasks as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, timely resolution of technical issues.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with end users and team members.
Technical Environment & Requirements
Hands-on technical support in an enterprise environment.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
Experience with PC imaging, setup, and deployment preferred.
Basic knowledge of networking principles, including patching and connectivity troubleshooting.
Onsite presence is mandatory for this role.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Proven customer service skills, with a focus on professional and courteous support.
Experience in deskside support, hardware provisioning, and network port patching.
Familiarity with Android device setup and deployment is a plus.
Working Conditions
Schedule: Overnight shift, Thursday through Sunday.
Work Environment: Onsite, team-based setting. Remote work is not available.
Qualifications
No formal certifications required.
Prior experience in technical support or IT-related roles is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Shift: Overnight Thurs - Sun; 40 hours per week
