  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Safety Program Development and Implementation
    * Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and policies tailored to IT infrastructure construction projects.
    * Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
    * Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    
    • Training and Education
    * Provide safety training to construction and IT teams, including subcontractors, to ensure awareness of safety practices and regulations.
    * Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.
    
    • Site Monitoring and Auditing
    * Perform regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
    * Document safety incidents, near misses, and violations; conduct thorough investigations and implement preventive measures.
    * Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs and compliance documentation.
    
    • Collaboration and Communication
    * Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and IT staff to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
    * Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and coordinate inspections or audits as required.
    
    • Emergency Preparedness and Response
    * Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites.
    * Lead safety drills and ensure all personnel are prepared for potential emergencies.
    
    • Continuous Improvement
    * Stay updated on industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and changes to OSHA regulations.
    * Proactively identify opportunities to improve safety practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Experience : * Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably within IT infrastructure projects. * Familiarity with safety challenges specific to data center and IT infrastructure construction.
    • Skills : * Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively train teams and address safety concerns. * Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
