Summary: The IT Internship is designed to provide a current college level student, who is interested in part-time Christian Ministry, experience in the IT field. Applicants will be enrolled in an IT, Computer Specialist, or similar field, and be committed to furthering the gospel of Jesus Christ in their work.
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Part-time, Intern
All Water Street Mission Staff must be:
1. Willing to sign the Water Street Mission's Statement of Faith
2. A current and active member and/or regular attendee of a local church.
3. Able to fully support the Water Street Mission's core values and ministry philosophy.
Focus of the Position:
• Desktop Support
o Software/Hardware computer issues
o Printing Issues
o Resolving helpdesk ticket issues
• Systems and Network Administration:
o Be able to run CAT5/6 small cabling projects
o Assist in installing PC's, security cameras, and other network peripherals
o Active Directory management and system access responsibilities
• Microsoft Office365 technical assistance
Education and Experience: Pursuing two or four year degree in Information Technology or computer related field. Must be ministry minded and able to work well with team, staff, volunteers and external agencies. Fluent in Microsoft Office products including excel, word, and PowerPoint. Must be familiar with Windows 10/11 and basics of networking principles.
