    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced IT Logistics Specialist to develop and implement logistics plans to support the acquisition, storage, distribution, management and disposal of IT assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics processes, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently. You will be required to provide excellent customer service by communicating requirements and processes in a clear and concise manner.

    In addition to the responsibilities above you may be required to contribute to projects as a technical resource.

    What you'll get to do:

    Hardware Asset Management:

    • Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate with Shipping and Receiving, to send and receive shipments of IT assets, and provide necessary documentation to Procurement to close out open orders.
    • Manage, maintain and audit the IT inventory, including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
    • Receive and process returned IT assets, ensuring they are appropriately retired or redeployed.
    • Computer Updates, Repairs and Maintenance:
    • Diagnose and repair IT assets and coordinate with external vendors for repairs or replacements when necessary.
    • Install and update operating systems, software, and security patches on IT assets in preparation for redeployment.

    Software Asset Management:

    • Assist in software user management identifying over or underutilization of licenses and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
    • Track licenses and assist in the renewal of software contracts as needed.

    Mobile Device Management:

    • Configure and deploy mobile devices to employees, ensuring they meet company standards and assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues.
    • Manage mobile device inventory and track usage.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Generate reports on inventory levels, asset utilization, and other relevant metrics.
    • Assist in budgeting exercises by providing forecasts and other reporting to finance and various stakeholders for the accurate depreciation and retirement of IT assets.

    User Support:

    • Manage the logistics ticket queue, work directly with users to determine IT asset needs, gain approvals and kickoff the procurement process.
    • Offer guidance on best practices for using and maintaining IT assets and develop self-service resources to help users resolve common issues independently.

    Qualifications

    Who you are:

    • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, logistics, or a related role.
    • Strong understanding of IT inventory management and asset tracking processes.
    • Experience with computer repairs and maintenance, software installation, and updates.
    • Knowledge of software licensing and compliance.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

    Working Conditions:

    • On-site work environment with occasional remote work as needed.
    • May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for critical tasks or project deadlines.
    • Ability to lift and move computer equipment and other IT assets.

    The hourly range for this role is $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr.
