    Job Description

    IT Manager

    The IT Manager is responsible for system monitoring, incident management, capacity planning, vendor management and ensuring compliance with IT policies and industry standards. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of systems, networks, servers and software applications by managing their performance, maintenance and security. Maintain operational continuity and meet business needs. This position is 100% Onsite and not open for Remote.

    IT Manager Responsibilities:

    - Infrastructure Management: Maintain IT and MES infrastructure including servers, network, machine and data collection and visualization, cloud connectivity to optimize performance and efficiency.

    - System Monitoring: Monitor IT systems to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime.

    - Incident Monitoring: Lead incident response efforts to quickly diagnose, address and document IT-related incidents.

    - Capacity Planning: Proactively access and manage IT capacity to meet future business demands.

    - Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors to procure, implement and support IT solutions

    - Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effective resource allocation.

    - Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems from cyber threats.

    - Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and regularly update disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of outages.

    - Policy Development: Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to comply with industry standards and regulations.

    ** REQUIRED PROFILE:**

    ** Required Education:**

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent education or experience.

    ** Type and duration of previous experience:**

    • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT application systems design, development, deployment, and support;
    • At least 2 years of experience in business process design and improvement, preferably in a laboratory/bioinformatics environment;
    • Experience managing international customers/projects;
    • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies is welcomed;
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.

    ** Specific skills required:**

    • Strong proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
    • Deep understanding of project management tools, concepts, and methodologies relevant to IT deployment projects, ensuring efficient and successful project delivery.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory instrument systems and their software, enabling effective integration and optimization of technology solutions within the life sciences domain.
    • Expertise in software design, architecture, and integration processes, along with a solid understanding of relevant technologies and best practices in the field.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to the Life Sciences industry, ensuring adherence to regulations governing data privacy, security, and quality.

    ** Travel:**

    • Occasional travel to Eurofins facilities worldwide, including weekends.
    • Estimated travel time is approximately 10-20% of working time.

    Additional Information

    Candidates within a commutable distance to San Diego, CA are encouraged to apply. The shift for this role will be: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

    Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000/yr.
