    Position Summary:

    The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital's IT infrastructure and managing a team of IT professionals to ensure that all systems are secure, compliant, and efficient. This role includes coordinating with various hospital departments to support clinical operations, implement technology initiatives, and optimize electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and data integrity across the hospital.

    Job Responsibilities:

    **** IT Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee the maintenance, support, and upgrade of all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, EHR systems, and data storage.

    • Manage system security protocols to protect patient data and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

    • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, addressing issues promptly to avoid disruptions in hospital operations.

    Project Management and Implementation:

    • Lead IT projects from conception through completion, including the installation and optimization of new hardware, software, and systems.

    • Coordinate and collaborate with department heads to assess and address specific technology needs.

    Implement and track project milestones and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support in their development.

    • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to ensure high standards and efficiency in IT services.

    • Recruit, train, and develop team members to keep up with evolving healthcare technology.

    Cybersecurity and Compliance:

    • Oversee cybersecurity protocols, implement best practices, and educate staff on data protection.

    • Monitor systems for potential breaches or data vulnerabilities, and lead the response to security incidents.

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, and participate in audits and inspections as necessary.

    Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:

    • Work closely with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and optimize the user experience of hospital IT services.

    • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for potential upgrades or new implementations

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

    • At least 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare environment.

    • Proven experience with healthcare IT systems (e.g., EHRs, PACS) and a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance.

    • Excellent project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing system uptime and user support.

    • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
