    Job Description

    As an IT Network Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the network infrastructure for film production facilities. You will focus on managing, securing, and optimizing our network systems, with a particular emphasis on FortiGate firewalls. This role involves working in a fast-paced, creative environment where network reliability and security are critical to the success of our productions.

    ** Key Responsibilities:**

    • Network Management: Monitor, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Fortinet Firewall Administration: Deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet security system solutions, including FortiGate appliances.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner, providing support for both hardware and software problems.
    • Network Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to assess network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize traffic flow.
    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, IT staff, and vendors to support network-related projects and upgrades. ****
    • Disaster Recovery: Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and procedures.
    • Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and company policies related to network security and data protection. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in the entertainment industry.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience ****
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and network administration, preferably in a high-demand environment such as film production environments.
    • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANS and routing protocols. Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools.
    • Certifications: Fortinet certification, CCNA or equivalent work experience.
    • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
    • Work Schedule: Must be flexible on scheduling, including some night, some weekend work and some travel to remote production locations.

    ** Preferred Skills**

    • Experience with Window Servers and NAS is a plus.
    • Experience with network infrastructure in media or entertainment production environments is a plus.
    • Knowledge of additional network security technologies and cloud-based networking solutions is a plus.
    • Familiarity with network automation and scripting for production workflows is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus.

    ** Additional Requirements:**

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

    Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000; bonus eligible, not long-term incentive eligible.
