    Onboarding Engineer

    About the Role

    As a key member of the Project Services Team, the Onboarding Engineer ensures a white-glove experience during cour clients onboarding, integrations, and offboarding. They will handle various environments, from traditional network and server/storage infrastructure to cloud services like AWS, Microsoft Office 365, and Azure. The role involves developing or collaborating on project streams for new customers, ensuring all aspects are meticulously managed.

    Accountabilities

    Project Implementation and Delivery

    • Implement or be involved in projects and technologies including, but not limited to, client onboardings, network upgrades, office/workstation relocations, server migrations, firewall and switch installation and configuration, server virtualization, Office 365 migrations, and more.
    • Collaborate with vendors and clients to effectively plan and execute client application upgrades.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for clients' networks, ensuring all standard documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Serve as the primary technical lead during onboarding and offboarding engagements, ensuring delivery and technical expertise throughout the process.
    • Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain strong client relationships, addressing any technical concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality technical solutions and exceeding client expectations.

    High Level Technical Consultant

    • Serve as an escalation point for challenging technical issues that present themselves to other analysts during new customer onboarding.
    • Serve as the “face” of the Onboarding team to mid-market and enterprise clients to ensure the health of the client relationship.
    • Attend meetings with other high level technical company resources to solve immediate emergencies, threats, or outages.
    • Act as quality control for junior Onboarding Specialist's work and documentation.
    • Provide technical and professional mentorship to entry and junior team members.

    Cross team Collaboration

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are handled appropriately.
    • Participates in cross-department meetings to provide high-level technical solutions.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Required

    Technical Proficiency:

    • In-Depth IT Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, server/storage systems, virtualization, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, M365).
    • Systems Administration: Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and related services.
    • Network Configuration: Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
    • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
    • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze system performance and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.

    Certifications and Bonus Skills

    • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are highly desirable.
    • Knowledge and skills in AWS, Azure, O365, Virtualization, and other technologies are a major bonus.
    • Bonus Skills: Experience with ITIL frameworks, Six Sigma methodologies, and M&A integrations is a plus.

    Role Logistics

    • This is a full-time position.
    • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
    • This position may require travel to client offices, industry events, and company locations on a minimal basis up to 20%; travel locations will vary.
