We are seeking an experienced temporary it programmer to support our government client. this contract role involves performing code analysis, optimization, and implementation to evaluate orchard as a potential replacement for a new system
This position requires a solid background in .net, mysql, and asp.net mvc, along with strong debugging and documentation skills. the role is hybrid with a requirement to work onsite at least one day per week.
✅ Minimum requirements
bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
minimum of 6 years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications using c# within the .net framework
hands-on experience with mysql, including writing and optimizing complex sql queries, procedures, and functions
experience with asp.net mvc, web api, and client-server architecture
demonstrated ability to work with jira, visual studio, and git for code management and issue tracking
experience with azure devops for pipeline and repository tasks
ability to collaborate with technical teams, including project managers, business analysts, testers, and help desk support

evaluate code provided by the district of Columbia for readability, maintainability, and performance
