Position Summary / Essence of the Role:
The essence of the Project Technician role is to implement new or complex technology that has a positive and strategic impact on customer’s businesses. This is achieved by effective planning, and efficiently executing project plans with precision. To achieve excellence in this role, the Project Technician will need to be passionate about the use of technology to drive business forward. They must be motivated by the reality that the excellent execution of their work is a critical part of strengthening our customers’ businesses. It is the implementation of solutions that ultimately makes the quality of their business and their employees’ lives better.

Success in this role will be measured by the following:
Customers are enthusiastic about implementing new technology
Projects are delivered according to scope with minimal “scope creep” (Hours Over Budget and Hourly Realization Rate) Goal is within +/- 10% of hour.
The Project Technician is growing in both technical knowledge and business acumen
Well executed projects that result in no (or very little) negative impact to the other service delivery areas

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Field of Study: IT or related technical field
Experience:
5 years previous experience in a technical role Previous experience implementing new / complex technology
Certifications & Licenses:
Technical Certifications Preferred (Microsoft, SonicWALL, Dell)
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of the following:
Microsoft Stack (Windows Server, Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure AD)
Network services (DHCP, DNS, Routing)
Firewalls (SonicWall and Unifi)
Switches, Routers, and Wireless Access Points / Controllers
Application / Database Implementation and Migration
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read, comprehend, type and speak English clearly on the phone
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to type 50+ words per minute
Some lifting of PC and server equipment
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
