    US BASED, NO SPONSORSHIP

     

    Job Summary:

    The Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization's information assets by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks. This role involves monitoring network activity, responding to security incidents, and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

    • Project Based Work
    • Will be required to come into client’s office 1-2 times a week and/or on demand.
    • Background check required

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Security Monitoring:
      • Monitor network and system activity for signs of intrusion, anomalies, and potential threats.
      • Analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents.
      • Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools to correlate security events.
    • Threat Detection and Response:
      • Conduct threat intelligence analysis to stay informed of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
      • Investigate security incidents, assist with determining root causes, and implement corrective actions.
      • Assisting with maintaining incident response plans and procedures.
    • Security Assessments and Audits:
      • Assist in analyzing security assessments for actions needed
      • Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
      • Recommend security improvements and enhancements based on assessment findings.
    • Security Policy and Procedures:
      • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures.
      • Provide security awareness training to employees.
      • Collaborate with other teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
    • Security Tool Administration:
      • Administer security tools such as Email Security, DDos protection, NAC controls, AD permissions.
      • Configure and maintain security tools to optimize performance and security.

     

    Technical Qualifications and Skills:

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. highly preferred.
    • Relevant security entry certifications (CompTia Security +, CySA+, Google Cyber Security, examples) highly preferred. 1-3 years experience.
    • Knowledge of infrastructure and enterprise systems (Email, ERPs, CRMs, Servers, Web, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of network & infrastructure security concepts, protocols, and technologies.
    • Experience with security tools and technologies (CloudFlare, Active Directory, Azure, MimeCast, etc.).
    • Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response procedures.
