**This is a full-time contractor role payable at $35 per hour**
We are seeking a skilled and organized IT Support Technician to provide exceptional technical support and ensure seamless IT operations. The ideal candidate will perform a range of technical work activities both remotely and on-site, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of IT systems and resources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Perform technical work activities to meet business and customer requirements.
- Meeting Room Technology Checks:
- Conduct twice-daily checks of side room/conference room technology to ensure all IT equipment is operational.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues and report unresolved problems.
- IT Peripheral Cart Management:
- Maintain and organize IT peripheral stocking areas daily, ensuring adherence to stocking guidelines.
- E-Waste Management:
- Manage e-waste carts twice daily by categorizing items for cleaning, restocking, disposal, or return for maintenance (RMA).
- Inventory Management:
- Keep the IT inventory room organized and adequately stocked.
- Perform inventories twice a week and request replenishments for missing items.
- Delivery and Shipping:
- Process and manage IT deliveries, shipments, and inventory updates.
- Desk Setup and Reclaim:
- Set up desks for visitors and new hires, including monitor installation, PC setup, and peripheral deployment.
- Reclaim IT equipment post-departure and return desks to a clean state.
- Desk Moves and Assistance:
- Prepare materials for desk moves, label desks, and coordinate moves as per the plan.
- Assist with peripheral swaps and other move-related tasks.
- Temporary Staffing Assistance:
- Provide trained temporary staff for projects involving moves and configurations.
- PC Pre-staging:
- Maintain pre-built PCs ready for deployment based on ticket requests.
- Printer Paper Refill:
- Refill printer paper as needed or upon request.
- Hardware and Equipment Maintenance:
- Locate and restart PCs with errors as directed.
- Process faulty equipment RMAs with vendors.
- Ad Hoc Requests:
- Handle additional IT requests such as monitor adjustments, peripheral deployments, and desk reconfigurations.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT desktop support services (minimum 3 years).
- Proficient in using IT systems, technology functions, and applications in line with industry standards.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow procedures and instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and routine administrative skills.
- Awareness of workplace health and safety regulations.
