    Reputable consumer products company is looking for a highly skilled and multifaceted IT System Administrator for a contract-to-hire position at their Corporate offices in Los Angeles.

    **$48-$55/hour | **4 days/week in office-West Los Angeles

    This role involves overseeing a range of technologies and working across various platforms to ensure the smooth operation of systems, networks, and security at the company’s various locations.

    The role involves managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, providing technical support, implementing best practices, and supporting various business functions with their technology needs.

    RESPONSIBILITES

    System and Network Administration:

    • Administer and maintain a wide variety of technologies including firewalls, switches, servers (Windows and Linux), Wi-Fi systems, and cloud services (Azure).
    • Monitor logs, perform backups, and ensure secure operations.

    Security and Documentation:

    • Implement security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access or modification.
    • Maintain proper system documentation for users, systems, and network configurations adhering to company and PCI standards.

    User Support and Collaboration:

    • Assist with helpdesk support, work with cross-functional teams, and participate in IT-related projects.
    • Provide ongoing technical guidance to business units to enhance productivity and technology adoption.

    Asset and Hardware Management:

    • Handle procurement, staging, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software.
    • Manage asset tracking systems to ensure proper documentation.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Identify opportunities for improvements in technology processes, efficiencies, and system performance.

    Security Mindset:

    • Ensure that security is a priority in all IT-related activities.
    • Participate in disaster recovery planning and system audits.

    Vendor Management:

    • Work closely with IT vendors for system procurement and ongoing relationships.

       

      SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

      Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

      Experience in System Administration:

    • 4+ years managing Linux and Windows servers, both physical and virtual (Hyper-V).
    • Extensive experience in network administration, firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi technology (Ubiquiti).
    • Proficiency in managing cloud services like Azure.

    Technical Support & Tools:

    • Familiarity with remote support tools and IT management platforms (e.g., ScreenConnect, Splashtop).
    • Proficient in supporting both Windows and Apple (Mac/iOS) environments.
    • Deep understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, and VPN.

    Business & Communication Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users.
    • Ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines effectively.

    Security & Compliance Knowledge:

    • Prioritize system security and ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., PCI).

      Technical Expertise in IT Solutions:

    • Experience with Office 365, Zoom, and MDM.
    • Familiar with Sonicwall Firewalls and Netgear switches.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of the business.
