What We Are Looking For
We seek a proactive and detail-oriented IT professional with a strong foundation in systems administration, IT security, and Web based systems. This candidate should be capable of regularly exercising, and in fact regularly exercise, discretion and independent judgement, and will be responsible for managing and protecting our IT Systems Department, including its infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and overseeing Web Based system usage and issue reporting.
Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the company's IT, including its infrastructure (including servers, networks, storage, and communication systems), ensuring optimal performance and availability
Security Management: Implement, monitor, and continuously improve security protocols, firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems to protect against cyber threats
System Administration: Perform regular system updates, patches, and audits to maintain the stability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems
Web-Based System Support: Utilize web-based systems effectively and evaluate and select solutions when needed, including troubleshooting, and escalating usage issues and the recommended course of action to management for final review/approval
User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to employees, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions to enhance productivity and system reliability
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, security protocols, web-based systems usage, and operational procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to the IT environment
Assume responsibility for project tasks and exercising discretion to ensure they are completed appropriately and in a timely fashion
