    Hours/Week: 40 hours – Hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half
    Rate: $85 – $100/hour
    Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting

    Scope of Services:

    The IT Technical Specialist will provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes, including new developments, enhancements, or maintenance. This will involve preparing application system specifications, as well as the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost-effective application solutions. The role will focus specifically on SAP OTC (Sales and Distribution, Pricing, Intercompany Billing, Shipping, Logistics, Transportation, Order Fulfillment, and FSCM).

    The IT Technical Specialist will collaborate with external partners and suppliers, and will be responsible for leading Requirements Gathering Workshops for project scoping and estimates. The individual will be expected to execute highly complex and specialized global projects, adapting existing precedents and approaches to develop solutions as necessary.

    This role requires compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. The IT Technical Specialist will be responsible for technical configuration/code reviews, solution testing, user training, and hypercare support. The role may also lead projects and technical staff to develop, test, and implement significant new solutions or improvements, or devise new approaches to complex problems. Additionally, the Specialist will investigate and research new technologies and provide technical advice regarding the adoption or integration of these technologies.

    Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

    • Lead Requirements Gathering Workshops: Facilitate scoping sessions for SAP OTC processes, ensuring all business needs are captured and estimated accurately.
    • Configuration and Testing: Perform SAP OTC configurations and lead testing efforts to ensure the solutions meet business needs. Oversee and validate the performance of solutions.
    • Technical Leadership: Lead technical teams in the development and implementation of SAP OTC solutions. Provide expertise and direction during project execution.
    • System Optimization and Support: Serve as a subject matter expert, reviewing system performance, conducting capacity planning, and ensuring the optimization of SAP OTC processes.
    • Process Improvement: Evaluate and recommend improvements in business processes through the SAP OTC module. Provide advice on best practices and innovative solutions.
    • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration of SAP OTC solutions into the business environment.
    • Documentation: Deliver all required project documentation, including Change Requests, testing plans, system validation documents, and other necessary materials.
    • Training and Hypercare: Conduct user training and provide hypercare support following the implementation of SAP OTC solutions to ensure smooth transition and adoption.

    Experience & Skills:

    • SAP OTC Expertise: At least 10-13 years of experience with SAP OTC process areas, including Sales and Distribution, Pricing, Intercompany Billing, Shipping, Logistics, Transportation, Order Fulfillment, and FSCM.
    • Healthcare Industry Experience: Preference for experience in the healthcare industry, particularly within GxP-regulated environments.
    • Problem Solving: Strong root cause analysis and problem resolution skills.
    • Leadership: Prior management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a technical capacity.
    • Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and partnering skills, able to work effectively with business and technical teams, as well as external vendors.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
    • Process Management: Understanding of process costs, and ability to work with service providers to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to service levels.
    • Results-Oriented: Ability to accomplish results through others, establishing strong working relationships and ensuring operational deliverables are met.

    Education & Certifications:

    • Degree: A degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a complementary field is required.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are a plus. Certifications in project management or relevant areas (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are desirable.
