Job Title: IT Technical Specialist – SAP PTP

Rate: $85 – $100/hour
Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting
Scope of Services:
The IT Technical Specialist will provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development, enhancement, and support of SAP PTP (Procure to Pay) systems, including SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management, Indirect Procurement through SRM and Ariba, and SAP Accounts Payables. The role involves leading technical solution design, system configuration, and testing, ensuring that the solution aligns with business objectives and functions efficiently. The specialist will be responsible for driving technical configurations, providing guidance on process improvements, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the desired quality.
Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:
- Solution Design and Configuration: Lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PTP systems, including Materials Management, Inventory Management, Indirect Procurement (SRM, Ariba), and Accounts Payables modules.
- Requirements Gathering and Workshops: Lead requirements gathering workshops, collaborate with business teams to assess needs, and create project scoping and estimations for SAP PTP projects.
- Integration and Customization: Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to design and integrate systems, ensuring smooth data flow and operations between SAP and other business systems.
- System Testing and Validation: Ensure the configuration is aligned with business processes through thorough testing, and conduct system validation and code reviews.
- User Training and Hypercare Support: Lead the creation of training materials and provide post-implementation support during the hypercare phase, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Project Documentation: Responsible for creating and delivering all project documentation, including change requests, testing plans, system validation documents, and any other required artifacts.
- Research and Technology Integration: Evaluate new technologies, conduct research, and provide technical advice on the adoption of new systems and integration of advanced tools to improve SAP PTP processes.
- Performance Monitoring and Capacity Planning: Oversee the monitoring of system performance, plan for capacity, and ensure the system operates at optimal levels.
- Process Improvement and Optimization: Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and implement technical solutions that optimize operations and reduce costs.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business users, functional teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with strategic business objectives.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience: 10-13 years of experience in SAP PTP, including SAP Materials Management, Inventory Management, SAP Accounts Payables, and Indirect Procurement through SRM and Ariba. Preferably in the healthcare industry.
- System Expertise: Strong experience in SAP PTP modules, including implementation, configuration, and integration.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SAP configuration, code review, testing, and troubleshooting for PTP-related modules.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.
- Project Management: Experience leading complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed-upon scope and budgets.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and business users to drive successful project outcomes.
- Process Skills: In-depth understanding of business process optimization and cost management within SAP PTP.
Education & Certifications:
- Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related business field.
- Certifications: SAP certification in relevant modules (SAP MM, SRM, Ariba, Accounts Payables) is a plus. Additional certifications in project management or business process management are beneficial.
