We take pride in consistently delivering superior and reliable service, a broad scope of services and an exemplary safety record. We’re currently seeking a PAYROLL AND HR GENERALIST to join our team.
In this blended role, the Payroll and HR Generalist will be responsible for accurately processing payroll to include bi-weekly, weekly, and semi-monthly pay groups as well as supporting core HR functions. This position will work closely with business leaders, as well as the Human Resources team to enhance our overall employee experience. In addition to the traditional Payroll and Human Resources operations, this position will focus on “Metrics that Matter”, looking for ways to continually improve our processes and services we provide and help unlock the talents of all of our employees.
PAYROLL AND HR GENERALIST
- Provide high-touch customer service with responding and assisting with employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Responsible for union reporting and payment submissions.
- Point person for union dues and welfare questions.
- Investigate, problem solve, research and provide resolutions to payroll manager and HR Team
- Review, analyzes, audits and accurately process Human Resources data within HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems.
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws; update policies and/or procedures as required.
- Assist in developing and implementing Human Resources policies and procedures, providing guidance and interpretation to management and employees
- Responsible for creation, analyzation and updating of HR Metrics
- Partners with Business Unit leaders by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and executing solutions in a timely manner
- Participate in special projects and initiatives and provide general support to HR management team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent preferred
- 2-4 years of payroll processing experience required
- Minimum of 3 years HR Generalist experience required
- Proficient in working in HRIS and payroll systems; experience with Dayforce a plus
- Union experience a plus
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and anticipate changing project needs
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish a plus
