The Equipment Control Clerk is primarily responsible for accurately completing inspections on containers, trailers and chassis along and recording visual damages. We are seeking detail – oriented individuals whose primary focus is on safety and productivity. In this role you will work outdoors using a hand-held device to check-in drivers as they arrive at our depot facility to drop off or pick up containers.

Responsibilities

EQUIPMENT CONTROL CLERK

• Maintains accurate records of all inbound and outbound equipment
• Inputs all redelivery information of equipment from customers
• Inputs all release information of equipment from customers
• Develops and maintains effective, professional communication with customers
• Maintains accurate records of customers’ equipment inventory and relevant activities
• Works with yard supervisor to prioritize equipment release and accessibility
• Updates TEC system with sales equipment repairs and movement
• Works closely with outside truck drivers dropping off or picking up equipment
• Communicates with truck drivers, dispatchers, and customers daily via email and phone
• Checks customer websites to make sure equipment is supposed to come to the depot
• Answers incoming phone calls
• Helps with accounts receivable
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education
• Should be computer literate familiar with Microsoft software
• Energetic and customer driven
• Good organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communications
• Courteous customer communication skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Consistently exhibits satisfactorily levels of performance
