    Job Description

    The Microsoft SharePoint & UI/UX Designer will report to the Technology Investigation Manager within the ITW Innovation Center (IC).  This position will support our SharePoint site development, coordinate webinar content, and provide periodic consulting to ITW businesses with graphical user interface design needs. The position may require travel to various ITW business divisions throughout the United States.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Maintain Innovation Center SharePoint site by:

    • Maintaining and refreshing the Innovation Center SharePoint sites to drive site traffic and Innovation Center collaboration
    • Monitoring SharePoint site traffic using Google Analytics
    • Managing automated site features using Power Automate and Power App (email, approvals, etc.)

    Support ITW business growth projects with user interface design consulting by:

    • Providing consultation during the development and execution of UI/UX projects
    • Analyzing user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that achieve user and business requirements
    • Conducting user experience testing to improve existing and new applications
    • Creating, updating, and refining business brand and style guidelines as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • B.A./B.S. required. Preferred concentration in Graphic Design or similar Human Computer Interaction.
    • Expertise in SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, Power App, Adobe Tools (InDesign, After Effects, Media Encoder), Axure, InVision, Balsamiq or other wireframe & prototyping tools
    • Working knowledge of Google Analytics
    • Experience building and designing user interfaces (web and HMI) for various applications
    • Understand User Experience as it relates to customer experience, not just the visual user interface
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must as you will work in a team environment

    • Exhibits creative thinking with willingness to collaborate with internal customers
    • Ability to influence without direct authority
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate design concepts in a clear, concise manner to all levels of the organization in both written and oral formats
    • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript

    • Photoshop editing/content creation capabilities
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
    • Comfortable working with and presenting to a team
    • User Interface/User Experience design acumen (experience and knowledge of UI/UX workflows)
