Job Description

Our expanding brand is seeking a Division Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Industrial Vegetation Management (IVM) Division and DOT contracts. DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a proactive, highly motivated, and committed individual to take on responsibilities such as sales, project management, building customer relationships, understanding job costing, managing budgets, developing project and overhead budgets, employee development and coaching, and overseeing asset utilization.

** MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:**

• Contract Management including purchasing, chemical and supply needs, including inventory.
• Work with garage manager to make sure all trucks and equipment are in proper working order and set up to meet contract specifications.
• Scheduling jobs with customers, contact deadlines and ensure everyone is properly licensed.
• Review Contract Production, ensuring we met specifications and goals, while reducing cost.
• Make sure We follow all State and Federal Laws, specific to jobs.
• Documentation/Record Keeping, approvals and P & L statements.
• Summarize all contract management activities and reports to general manager.
• Hire new teammates, train, and develop your team with skills training along with career advancement goals through reviews.
• Create a new sales pipeline.
• Follow up with existing customers and bids.
• Summarize All Sales Activities and Report to General Manager

** TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE (VEGETATION MANAGEMENT):**

• Grass, weed, brush, and tree types.
• Herbicides and what they control.
• Different methods of spraying and spray equipment.
• Calibration
• Computers, injection, and flow control systems.
• Pumps, spray heads, guns, nozzles, booms, etc.
• Different methods of mechanical vegetation management
• Care and safe use of small tools such as weed eaters and chain saws.
• Care and safe use of various types of mowers/brush cutters
• Different methods of trash, debris and encampment clean up.
• Safety and security of crews

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Greens Industry, or related field preferred.
• Pesticide license in ROW required
• Pesticide license in natural area and aquatics is recommended

Experience:

• At a minimum, this position requires at least five years of upper-level management experience in the vegetation management or greens industry.
• Previous supervisory, budgeting, operational, facility, and subordinate development experience preferred.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have excellent communication skills.
• Great communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Strong sales, project management and customer relationships experience.
• Budget development with projects and overheads.
