Position Title: ICE MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER
Department: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Reports To: ICE MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER
Hiring: Full Time and 2 Part time
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION
Responsible for maintaining the quality of the ice including ice resurfacing and other ice related maintenance. Additional responsibilities include the general cleaning and minor maintenance of the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain ice by taking regular readings and logging them, making adjustments when necessary, and resurfacing the ice.
Assist Ice Maintenance Team Leader and Property Management with building maintenance and equipment repair, when necessary.
Make minor repairs to building fixtures and equipment when needed, including electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
Assist with such patron services as, First Aid, crowd control for events, and enforcement of facility rules as necessary
Clean, adjust and maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Inform appropriate department of operational issues and concerns as they arise.
Complete and close out work orders in a timely fashion.
Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance.
Provide customer service in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or relevant work experience preferred.
Minimum one (1) year experience in maintenance–related work preferred.
Able to follow written or oral instructions and perform simple mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of and ability to operate hand–held power tools.
Able to operate motorized equipment such as ice resurfacing machines and floor scrubbers.
Able to lift 75 to 100 pounds.
Able to work with and deal effectively with people.
Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; Lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
