  • Responsibilities

    · Review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations

    · Deliver instruction incident events identified for the Assault Amphibious Family of Vehicles (FOVs), and the associated training systems

    · Responsible for the upkeep of his or her assigned periods of instruction and other administrative tasks associated with maintenance of the communications curriculum(s)

    Required Skills

    · Demonstrated knowledge, skills and attributes to implement and evaluate instruction on the operation, functional administration, configuration management, networking and maintenance of the communications system(s), subsystems and equipment controls; execution of diagnostic tests and interpretation of results; removal and installation of major components; determination if the system/subsystem is malfunctioning; isolation and location of malfunctions in the Line Replaceable Units (LRU); replacement of defective LRU’s; troubleshooting and repair of system and subsystem malfunctions, and performance of routine preventative maintenance functions

    · Be physically capable of conducting the actions required to mount, dismount, evacuate and/or egress during vehicle operations, to include actions associated with conducting live fire ranges. Be physically capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a live fire range, lifting and moving cans of ammunition, removing and installing components of the systems, and other duties associated with operation and maintenance of the Amphibious Assault Family of Vehicles (FoVs)

    · Able to service, repair, calibrate, regulate, and fine-tune on testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles

    · Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language including technical language and terms associated with the operation, repair, installation, maintenance, assembly, and disassembly of the system(s) and subsystem(s)

    Required Experience

    · Successful completion of Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent

    · Four years of military experience
