    Job Description

    As the Marketing Manager for Good Chemistry and ILLUME, you will be responsible for helping us grow and diversify a best-in-class brand presence across multiple platforms in order to ultimately drive brand awareness and customer acquisition. We are looking for a highly efficient, experienced Marketing Manager with a passion for personal and home fragrance, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of the current, ever-changing consumer landscape, emerging retail trends, and best-in-class tactics for our growth. Our ideal candidate has demonstrable experience developing and managing multichannel consumer and B2B engagement, loyalty and marketing launch strategies. This position will directly manage a content creator, digital planner, project manager and marketing intern.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    LEAD, MANAGE, HOLD ACCOUNTABLE

    • Lead and inspire a small team to promote the business and mission of our brands and products
    • Ensure deliverables are met accurate and on-time
    • Work with cross-functional team to bring brand and product strategy to life with direction from Brand Director
    • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

    STRATEGY

    • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
    • Work with Brand Director to identify opportunities to connect with the consumer based on events and happenings in their life
    • Work with Brand Director to identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness talking to them about what they want to hear, where they want to hear it
    • Work with Brand Director to create unique and inspiring ways to interact and promote fragrance

    MARKETING

    • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
    • Working in partnership within the Creative team, develop briefs that guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
    • Working in partnership with internal creative team and external marketing team to develop briefs that guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and business-to-business communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
    • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns to build and enhance brand awareness about brand and product in digital space for consumer facing and in trade for wholesale/B2B businesses
    • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
    • Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establishing budget guidelines, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support.
    • Work with merchandising and product teams to renew owned showrooms in three locations bi-annually
    • Identify opportunities to support external B2B marketing team leveraging B2C campaigns and assets as well as conceptualize new and interesting ways to connect with the B2B customer.
    • Conceptualize and execute collabs with key retailers and digital like-minded companies
    • Work with design team to ensure brand standards and trade dress is consistent and maximized
    • Conceptualize and execute print and digital support for National Brands

    RESEARCH

    • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
    • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
    • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
    • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
    • Partner with category management and digital teams to design, test and evolve lead nurturing tactics.

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    • 5+ years of marketing experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
    • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints
    • Team player mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit
    • B2C and B2B experience
    • Experience working in smaller, high-growth company is a plus
    • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
    • Excellent copywriting skills
    • Friendly and outgoing with excellent verbal and written communication
