    We are seeking a Spanish speaking individual who is passionate, talented, and has at least 1-3 years of immigration law experience for our Van Nuys office. This individual should have basic knowledge of case management and immigration laws.     Job Qualifications and Competencies

    • Must be able to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently is REQUIRED
    • 1-2 years Immigration Experience Required - 3 years of Immigration experience is Preferred.

    Job Description

    Provide excellent customer services and greet clients when they enter our office

    Answer, screen, and forward phone calls in a professional manner and take detailed messages to assist and support the caseworkers or clients answering basic questions

    Oversee the consultation process from providing intake, reviewing it, quoting and scheduling the client using our case management system/Cmas.

    Complete tasks assigned.

    Follow up on sales leads for potential new clients after they inquiry on services.

    Collect and accurately process monthly and consultation payments

    Assist with basic contract and case creation

    Assist with calendaring appointment to avoid conflict and try to assure office efficiency

    Assisting in completing general tasks, including with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, and note-taking

    Assist to processing mail- register and calendar appointment and deadlines

    Assist with client billing and questions

    Assist with closing and archiving/scanning cases/files

    Prepare form communications via text/email/letters for clients and sales leads

    Complete accurate English translations from Spanish & serve as interpreter as needed

    Assist in document collection of USCIS and EOIR cases, when needed.

    Assist or complete government applications, if needed.

    Work 1 Saturday that the office is open - or otherwise agreed by both Employer and Employee.

    Other reception related tasks to assist office as a team player

    Assist case managers with case management duties and tasks

    Assist with file maintenance and maintain up to date information

    Assist case managers with timely collection of required document for a case

    Efficient communication with case managers & attorneys regarding case issues

    Assist with accurate preparation of filing applications and supporting documents

    Assist with timely responses to client’s questions and communications

    Assist in registering, organizing, and filing correspondence from the government and clients

    Assist with data entry and data maintenance

    Translations and interpretation

    Other case management related tasks to assist office as a team player

    Assist with status phone calls for case managers

    Answering client questions when able to Pull and file mail when needed

    Assist with case research

    Assist in case management / review

    Ability and hand dexterity to type at least 45 wpm

    Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, internet proficient

    Ability to occasionally lift large case files of an excess weight of 25 Lbs.

    Ability to arrive punctually from Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM &

    Work 1 Saturday per month

    Travel to our Los Angeles office 2 days a week for Training the first month of employment and 2 days a month thereafter.
