    Role and Responsibilities

    The candidate must possess experience preparing a full range of business immigration petitions and applications for corporate clients. Must have experience preparing H-1B, Blanket L-1As and L-1Bs, I-140, I-485 (EB2/EB3/EB-1C), I-131, I-765, TN and PERM applications for USCIS processing. Knowledge of consular review and processing a plus. Basic duties include the following:

    · Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests

    · Researching and summarizing relevant federal and agency cases

    · Maintaining client public access files

    · Updating clients of progress, answering their questions or preparing paperwork

    Depending on experience level and proficiency, additional duties may include the following:

    1. Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other petition filings

    2. Develop a case file indexing system using available technology that can be used as an active archive for all ongoing and completed petitions

    3. Monitor changes to government guidelines and/or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes

    4. Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending petitions

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Associate Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or bachelor’s degree with a paralegal certificate and 2 years of relevant experience.

    Preferred Skills

    Proficiency in M/S Word, M/S Excel, an immigration forms document system (preferably INSZoom), and a document management system.

    Additional Notes

    Knowledge of other cultures or a second language is beneficial; must have a good knowledge of legal terms and procedures pertaining to immigration law
