    Job Summary

    Join the Law Office of Yovanna Vargas, a small but dedicated immigration law firm, as an Immigration Paralegal. We're looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our clients. In this role, you will work closely with our lead attorney, supporting various immigration cases such as Family-Based petitions, Removal proceedings, and Business visas. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, gathering evidence, preparing forms, and compiling case packages for attorney review. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage directly with clients, helping guide them through the legal process.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare case-specific documents, including applications, petitions, cover letters, and other documents as required

    Conduct legal research and investigation

    Provide general administrative support

    Communicate with clients

    Maintain and update documentation, and organize files by establishing critical deadlines, and adhering to them consistently

    Contact USCIS/NVC regarding cases

    Draft motions, briefs, table of contents, memoranda, and other documents for immigration court

    Write declarations, affidavits, and letters of support related to immigration matters

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal or similar role is preferred at least one year

    Certification or associate degree as a Paralegal is preferred

    Familiarity with legal procedures, immigration terminology, and the court system is preferred

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Highly organized with document management experience

    Excellent research skills

    Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software

    Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
