Responsibilities: USCIS & Removal Defense Expertise: • Draft and manage critical documents for removal defense cases, including motions to terminate or reopen, stay of removal applications, adjustment of status, and asylum applications before immigration courts. • Prepare and file petitions, waivers, Naturalization, Business visas, U visas, VAWA, T-visas, TPS, DACA, and other related immigration documents with USCIS, U.S. embassies, and immigration courts. • Work closely with attorneys to prepare for trials and hearings by conducting legal research, organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings. • Conduct interviews with clients to gather vital information for legal matters, especially focusing on removal proceedings. • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence, such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under attorney supervision. Qualifications: • Bilingual English/Spanish • Must have 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a removal defense setting under the supervision of an attorney, preferably within a law firm. • Bilingual– Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for effective communication with clients. • High-level organizational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple cases and deadlines. • Strong understanding of key immigration forms and processes, including but not limited to: I-130, I-485, N-400, I-765, I-131, I-526, I-589, consular processing, and immigration court filings. • Extensive knowledge of removal defense procedures, including documentation required to support various immigration applications. • Familiarity with immigration and nationality law, including non-immigrant and immigrant visa requirements, admissibility, and deportation processes. • Excellent communication and writing skills, including mastery of English grammar and spelling. • If you are passionate about immigration law, especially removal defense, and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding position, we encourage you to apply and join our growing team.
